Anyone know a good place to buy some-what practical swimwear at this time of year?

The only place I've been able to reliably find any swimwear at this time of year is ordering from Lands End. So if by "practical" you mean "designed for middle-aged women" you're in luck. :)

Thanks, ordering online is not a bad idea! I see what you mean about the middle-aged woman thing. :) It can be hard to find a swimming suit that is nicely between string bikini and middle-aged woman at the best of times ... let alone when it has started to snow. :(

You should be able to get plain, non-fashionable exercise-type swimwear at any sports store all year round I should think.

Yeah, unfortunately that is all they seem to have. I think i am either going to have to order online or buy them when i get to Florida (we are going to Miami for the dec holidays).

With summer on the way, try Bondi.
The plane ticket might be a killer though.

haha, i wish. :) I have never done munch shopping near Bondi, but Manly has lots of places to find swimmers.
