So I was talking to Dani about making a list of people I fancied this year but that was hard (newsflash: I loved a lot of people this year which made things rather complicated) but I really like lists so I had the idea about characters. Basically I like badass ladies and non-douchey men or men that are douchey but they're supposed to be douchey. ( Read more... )

I really love Dean too. He was my first favorite when the show first started as well, but Sammy. Oh man. I love Sam so much because his life fucking sucks and yet he's so damn positive and I hate how he blames himself for a lot of things and I just want to hold him.

I love that you put so much effort into this comment and I could have replied via gchat but yeah here. ♥

No flaws anywhere on this list (except maybe Magneto at number 2. I don't severely hate him. I'm just easy and turn against the villains, even when they're well-written). You get major points for the X-Men: Evolution gifs alone. And Buffy IS an amazing character. She's so real with the way she deals with everything. She's flawed and vulnerable but she's still strong. She has the weight of the world on her shoulder and she's still fun-loving and careless. I love the effort they put into BtVS with showing that, after all the countless deaths she's had to deal with, she still cares. I sometimes wish TVD would make us realize that those red shirts were people, as well. But now I'm swaying off-topic.

I just love this list. The way you dug into Sansa is perfection. I really couldn't stand her in season 1 but her character went through a tremendous change in season 2. And for every reason you said is why I absolutely love her now.

I love Joss Whedon because even the secondary characters on Buffy had real depth, even if I didn't necessarily like them. There aren't many characters that you could say were underdeveloped, whereas with shows like TVD, most characters need to be developed more. And Buffy was easily relatable, despite the fact that she has to battle supernatural beings and all the shit she has to deal with. Everyone can relate to Buffy.

Ugh I love Sansa. I liked her in season one, but season two made her my favorite, and it upsets me so much when people get on her case. Like I got into a huge debate with someone when they were blaming her regarding Ned's death and ugh. I love her.
