I'll start cleaning out my hatchback. Hopefully the stink of poo will scare away the three large spiders currently in residence. (Extra credit math question: how many insects per day does it take to make riding around in the back of my Civic profitable for a spider?)
You're in luck! My numbers are for a Civic sedan, and the figure I found for a hatchback is that is has 8.4 more cubic feet of space! That's another 670.25 bags of poo for you!
Most likely, the poo will just attract more bugs and therefore more spiders.
I did find one webpage with a lesson plan for elementary school science teachers to have students capture and raise spiders. It suggested that one decent-sized insect per day was enough to satisfy an average spider. So I'm guessing if you have at least three bugs hanging out back there, they'll live. To make it profitable, is another matter ;-)
