Yeah, have you seen it? It was kind of sparse and independent feeling, but really, really lovely. The story behind the movie is pretty cool too.

Told you. (Or not, but Lani and I have raved about it several times since we saw it theatrically and again on DVD a couple weeks ago.)

Yup, proof--I found the post where I raved about it here.

Put the DVD on preorder with Amazon and it was a happy little surprise in the mail when it showed up the other week.

I've bumped this one to the top of my Netflix queue. They've recommended it to me but I'm a bit worried about the musical aspect of it.

Let me know if you see it! I don't know if you'll like it or not, it feels like an independent movie, kind of quiet and sparse. But I didn't know it was a musical until after and I was reading about it. They don't break out into song for no reason or anything.

How totally fortuities Elizabeth.

My DVR had recorded a bunch of music videos a couple weeks ago and one of them was of a couple playing this really beautiful song in an instrument store. I remember thinking that a) the girl looks just like my sister Betsy and b) how cool it was that they taped the video in an instrument shop. But I deleted the recording before I made a note of who the were...

It was from this movie! Now I know why the girl was dragging a vacuum cleaner around.

How funny when things play out like this. Thanks for recommending this movie!
