Monday night it was 32 degrees here (in Chapel Hill, NC), but there was no rain or snow. The weather has been perfect with highs of 62-70 and lows of 32-41.
Sounds very similar to our weather thus far - highs in the 70s lows in the 40s. Yesterday it was around 68 or so when I left to go to the library, and when I emerged from class three hours later it had dropped to 39! Then it started raining, and the degrees just kept plummeting.
We haven't had any snow in Hood River yet, but Mt Hood and Mt Adams are both newly white again after a summer of being mostly grey/black (with dirty white patches that are the glaciers!). They're so lovely covered in snow!
Yeah, the tallest mountains around Denver were covered two weeks ago and it was very slowly melting away. I haven't seen them yet this morning, but I bet they're covered again!
Well down here in good ole Florida, it is currently 76 degrees out, and there is a breeze finally- but it is also 8:30 at night. :-) I can't believe you like snow so much. To me it's just wet and cold. Does it get dark a lot earlier there since you are a lot further north?
