Dancing on Ice week 10 - The Semi-Final
Pre Show Ramblings
I can already sense the doom and fear Jessica is going out tonight. However, Coleen is piling up the injuries and if she lasts long enough to skate she really needs to go out. I still have very real fears of a Ray vs Coleen final next week.
Girls Aloud are on tonight, should be good, they’re flying!
There are some stunning photos of Maria on the News of the World website today. Now they just need to do a similar photoshoot with all the girls.
The Opener - Untouchable (Girls Aloud)
I still love the DoI opening music. *nods*

Why are Jayne and Chris in a completely different colour and style to Girls Aloud?
Ooooh, that was the leap like in the opening credits with Jayne and Chris leaping across each other!
Usually it starts with music and ends with Jayne and Chris; not the other way round! Ahhh, they had to go and get wired up for flying, fair enough.
My favourite ever Jayne and Chris flying routine is Reach from last year’s tour.
The Competition
It doesn’t feel like the semi final because it’s been so random this year. It seems like forever ago that Melanie and Michael left.

Ooooh, I correctly predicted the skating order this week! Haven’t done that for a few weeks!
Why have they given Coleen such an unflattering outfit?
ARGH, Ruthie’s being eaten by a large black net creature.
Donal and Florentine - Live and Let Die (Paul McCartney/Wings)
[T] He has very blue eyes. And Fred-like arms.
[S] He looked a bit spaced out at the start but recovered with a grin.
Ooops, stumble on the jump.
Some good moves and good music but I wasn’t that impressed with the routine as a whole. He’s been better in the past few weeks I think.

Did Jason just criticise Jayne and Chris’ choreography? Way to insult your employers!

Was that turn supposed to be synchronised? Cos it wasn’t…
Technically good, but I think I prefer Chris and Frankie’s Livin’ la Vida Loca.

Coleen and Stuart - You’re Still The One (Shania Twain)
[T] Coleen must have had very little practice this week seeing as she seems to have spent a lot of it in and out of hospital.
Oh, NOW you want to skate.
[S] Unimpressive solo skate.
I’m sorry… I know she’s injured and hasn’t had much time, but that was poor even for her. Nothing technical there at all.
[J][16.5] I think the judges are just trying to make her cry.

YES!!! Jess is safe!!! So happy!!!
Damn, wanted Ray in the skate off. He wouldn’t have left but it would have knocked his confidence.
Coleen has to go unless Donal screws up beyond belief. Actually she should go anyway because her routine has no content.

Can we have Nick Rigby on tour please? If not him then Hannah and Daniel, but I don’t like the idea of the kids touring cos Jersey knackered Aaron and that was just two weekends.
Awww, the kids are so polite! Hang on, how did they get through? Ethan and Danielle are better skaters.
Hmmm, a musical interlude might work I guess.
Okay, I could cope with the Oxford Freestylers.
So anyone except the kids. And preferably not The Elody.
Oxford Freestylers won. I can cope with that. Except some of them are kids.
Ohhhhh, they’re only doing the tour over Easter weekend, so presumably just Wembley.
The Second Skate
Donal and Florentine - More content in the solo skate than Coleen’s whole routine!
That was SO much better than the first time. Better skating, he made the jumps and I actually enjoyed it! He’s safe.
Coleen and Stuart - I can totally do her solo skate. Little Maddie could pretty much do it.
Slightly better I think, but even perfect wouldn’t save her.
Bring on the flowers! Normally I tell them off for talking as if they’re leaving before the vote, but this time it’s justified.
The judges are in hysterics!
