Weird- I had a serial wacom device (actually a ThinkPad tablet) working in Ubuntu 9.10. And I'm sure that the OSX community drivers are actually hacked up Linux drivers in the first place.

Yeah, the thread on the Ubuntu forums starts with someone saying they had a serial tablet working with Hardy that no longer works with Lucid.

There's a patch for the Linux wacom drivers, but it hasn't been accepted upstream and I'm not quite at the stage where I want to be recompiling stuff without understanding what I'm doing.

In true Windows style, there is a closed-source, $70 driver for Windows, which currently doesn't work in photoshop.
