Yeah, I don't think your signed first edition TWILIGHT is worth anything. ;) That's so cool!

I read (and loved) Danette Haworth's VIOLET RAINES ALMOST GOT STRUCK BY LIGHTNING. Also just finished RA Nelson's TEACH ME.

Ooh, I love RA Nelson. I don't know how he creates these characters in totally horrible situations that you can feel so much for.

Ooh, Hilton Head! I used to live there, in Sea Pines. Loved it, miss it. Especially this time of year!

Cool! It is definitely beautiful, but I think I'll ONLY visit in the cooler months -- I can't take the summer heat! :)

"What I Saw and How I Lied" by Judy Blundell: I've wanted to read this so badly. I'm definitely going to check it out now. :)

And my favorite topic. TWILIGHT. Haha. The movie was...interesting. They could have done worse, but I think that, overall, they did a really good job at getting the heart of the story across.

Yes, read WHAT I SAW. It's a good one.

I agree that the movie did a great job of getting the main themes and plot points of the book across. I'm thinking this one will even grow on me as the other movies get added to it -- the whole thing is just so epic, it's hard to judge at this point. I think if all of the movies get made (and I don't doubt that they will), it'll make a pretty satisfying whole.
