So difficult to pick favorites, especially books. But here are the ones I liked best this year, based on how swept up I felt by each one. Not necessarily released in 2008, but consumed by me in 2008.

Looks like I am! I must get it from my dad -- his favorite movie is SILENCE OF THE LAMBS. There is something intriguing about being off-center, or full-on crazy.
