Okay, so this officially wins the Latest Report Ever award. Sometimes it gets to be all sunny in Seattle, and girl doesn't do much livejournalin'. Also, sometimes that same girl focuses her non-9-5 typing energy on writing books. That girl is me.

That's not Keyes's best. It gets wandery in the middle, doesn't it? I started with Watermelon, which is truly hilarious, and maybe her best book.

I'm nearly finished the sequel to Ken Follett's Pillars of the Earth. Totally plot driven, but I'm enjoying it. We just started Season Four of The Wire. Glad you encouraged us to stay with it. It is really well done. I need a recommendation for a good book soon.

Glad you're liking The Wire. I'll have to think about a good book for you. Nothing I've been reading lately has screamed "MOM!" at me.

It's time to start watching So You Think You Can Dance -- they narrowed down to a top 20 last week. A few are very impressive, but most aren't the ones they focused on during the auditions so we don't know anything about them. They totally messed up by not choosing Natalie, the roommate of Katie from last season, who is AWESOME. I'm still angry that they dismissed her. But I guess I'll have to get over it. It's on tomorrow, I think.
