The Sketchbook Project 2012

This is the first time I've ever participated in the Sketchbook Project-- thanks so much to The Arthouse Co-op for sending me a journal-- that was a delightful surprise! (maybe I should get on twitter more often-- hmm?)

About the art-- this sketchbook was very much an experiment for me. When I signed up, I knew I wanted to do something about flight

Thanks, Stephanie! That page was supposed to have two white cut out bird silhouettes swooping through the trees, but once I had the story idea, I could see they weren't needed...

Wonderful to catch up with Arthouse again...hadnt had much to do with them since their founding year in Atlanta.

When was that? No idea how long they've been doing this-- just came across them this year!

2006, according to their website. I checked in with them sometime before their move to New York from an alternative site in downtown Atlanta...probably some time in 2007.

I had to look it the dates in their "about us" page, and even then I can't quite reconstruct the sequence.

So they've been around for awhile... seems like a creative group!
