Just realizing I have been truly neglecting the blog this year... because there have been lots of happy and art-y things going on! I now have a local art studio where we have a lot of fun creating... come visit! Meanwhile, here are a few pics I've done recently.

Congrats on your art studio!

Have you ever taught decoupage, or does that take too long to complete? I used to do it, but I think the method and ingredients have changed since then.

I used to cut, sometimes colour or paint, glue, use several coats of varnish, sand, repeat last two steps a couple of times, and final coat of varnish.

I suspect people now just use one or two layers of Mod Podge and they're done.

We're just starting to use it now-- we do use Mod podge, which comes in a variety of flavors these days! Sometimes you do have to sand between coats or add varnish at the end, depending on the project. Really enjoying it!!

Thanks! The bridge is actually from a photo taken by a friend when she was in Venice... doesn't really do it justice, but I had to try. :D Loving the art studio... even if it draws me away from other things!

Thanks! That was one I didn't like-- looks like indecision on my part... but a number of people I paint with did like it, so I figured I'd post!
