So maybe I haven't been keeping my promise to update more and with pictures.
I love love love my french class. My first exam = 99/100. The same goes for the rest of the assignments.
I've been busting my butt at the animal shelter and very proud of it.
Ian and I have decided we're going camping this summer. I'm going to start jogging when the weather breaks. Lisa (one of our friends that volunteers at the royal oak animal shelter) invited us to go up for a week/half week of camping at Isle Royale in lake Superior. I'm not sure we'll have the funds for that, and the camping there is pretty intense. I'm not really excited about the having to filter and boil all of our H2O. However, Isle Royale is beautiful and it would be worth it. We could take our Kayak. I duno we'll see.
Last Thursday we went to Jena's 21st birthday party. I haven't seen Jena in I think over a year and I missed her terribly. She's lost some weight and her hair is hella long she looks so amazing. I'm so happy for her, she deserves the best in this life.
My car died Tuesday morning. Yesterday Ian got in touch with his family and asked to borrow his sisters car. As usual they made him feel like crap and then reluctantly let him borrow it. Not before telling him that he needs to work at McDonalds full time so he can get health insurance (I don't even think they do this anymore and besides that Ian and I are vegetarians, insensitive as usual) when he's off of theirs. His mom stated that he needs to go to a school he can walk to and a job he can walk to. Both of which are impossible, illogical and made both of my parents laugh. It's getting a bit tiring. It seems as though they're the type of people that relish complaining but never do anything to solve the problem. In addition to this they never say "I love you" or hug each other. I feel as though they pretend that they're this happy close knit family and let me tell you after being around them for a little more then two years nothing could be farther from the truth. I mean seriously, their main method of communication is email.
Anyhoo, Ian and I have decided we're going to become vet tech's while we're on our pursuit to further our education. So if our plan works out we'll be working as vet techs, living on our own, economically self reliant and saving for our continued education. Maybe we'll even move someplace warm and worth while.
My ears are almost stretched to my goal size 1 1/2in. I'm currently around 1mm larger than 1 1/4th inch.
This weekend is the Cobo dog show, Ian and I are going to go early on Saturday. Which brings me to my next topic. Next Thursday we'll be attending a peace march/protest in Ann Arbor for U of M to discontinue using shelter dogs as dummies for the students to practice trauma procedures on. BTW it's mandatory for the students to do this, if they refuse they're kicked out.
Onto a lighter note.
We start yoga in two weeks. I'm pretty excited, I love yoga. Since Ian's lost his 70lbs he's pretty excited to try new activities. I'm so optimistic for our future we finally have a detailed plan and we're happy.
