Ok, as happy as I am that 16 pandas were born in China
in October of last year; seeing the million bazillion pictures of they're crappy
facility fwd to me in my e-mail box over and over again, eclipses the cuteness of ALL the baby pandas.

I'll cry
I swear I will.
My love for the pandas...it overtakes all.
Yes, sometimes its less than ideal in the captive situations. But, baby pandas fare far worse in the wild! Take it from someone who owns as many documentaries and books as I do.
There is a reason they are going exinct, and as a lover of all things panda (you haven't even seen how bad this obsession has got Liz, I think I might need to be committed, its worse than you EVER were with Salior Moon or any anime) its still better than what they would have had coming if they had been born in the bamboo forest.
They can and need to do better. But, if nothing else find satisfaction. Glass half full land--- save the pandas and they won't have to be born in piles in labs anymore.

I take it back. Your right.
I guess tupperwearing a panda is
still better then the chances of a baby
panda surviving -or even being concieved-
in the wild.
One day I shall tupperware a panda for you.

My mommy and daddy were considering taking me to China next year. But now, they don't want to because they don't want to deal the the pre or post olympic frenzies. I am very angry. Then I tried to talk Mike into it. At first he was all game...and to go DURING the olympics (one week before they started so I could do the panda sanuary tour out of Bejing) and one week during the Olymipics (he goes to the Winter ones every four years)...but now he decieded its to short notice to plan a summer Olympic trip.
Looks like its up to you and me babe. We WILL see the pandas. We will see them together at some point. And we will squeal the highest pitched noises to ever come out of a human being.

But, ah yes, the irony! Don't fret, my dear> I'm sure you'll have another soon enough; perhaps even a mac - and then won't I be the jealous one.
