It snows in New Mexico? Better yet, where is New Mexico? How many states away are you from California? What time zone are you in? (If you haven't figured it out, my grasp of geography is pretty much simian.)

Another thing -- James Taylor? What happened? You misplaced all your Dan Fogelberg albums? (Like I was going to take your ladies' man comment lying down.)

It does snow in NM. Not very often, and it rarely sticks to the ground (at least here in the city, the mounitains get lots of snow,) but snow it is. I can't believe that you don't know your geography. I love maps. I buy used National Geographics and lay on the floor looking at all of the maps. I run my fingers over them and imagine what the land looks and feels like. OK, that's a little weird. But I knew where Afghanistan was before September 11th.

James Taylor is comfortable, like an old sweatshirt or a mug of tea with honey. Perfect music for snowy days. You are so taking my ladies man comment lying down.

I have the same love affair with maps! (Timberloop can't understand; I've tried.)

I once looked at my world map from National Geographic for three hours once, on the floor of my kitchen.

Between this and the can't-turn-off-the-radio-unless-the-song-is-over thing I'm convinced that you are my long-lost twin.

I randomly came across your journal...I am a teacher too in Michigan...yesterday we were all praying for a snow day too. Probably more than the kids were. We did get our snow day luckily.

No snow day here, but we did get a delayed day, which is almost as good.
