it may be a classic movie tradition that people for some reason still adhear to, but alot of older movies they were clipon pearls and stuff like that im guessing so they come off pretty easily with just a tug...

My guess would be that it's the female equivalent of Kirk's boots from Star Trek.

You show a scene leading up to the sex, then cut away, then show Kirk putting his boots on. Sex is implied with out any clothing removal.

Well, I get that, but what I'm saying is that earrings are a stupid choice, because it's totally unrealistic.

But it takes away from a scene less than putting stockings back on. It implies without being obvious.

if they're big danglin' fuckers i take them out. mostly because they get stuck to my partner's hair...and as I was typing this I realized I've never slept with a short-haired guy...ever...that's crazy...

anyway, if they're small-to-normal sized earrings, there is absolutely no fucking point to taking them out.
