Gogol Bordello concert at Irving Plaza - I crowd surfed for the first time in my life last night! Euge basically threw me into the air, and the crowd carried me right up to Eugene Hutz. Way to go! The cool thing about crowd-surfing is that the bodyguards don't actually punch you in the face when the crowd carries you all the way to the stage (as I expect they do in Russia), but carefully put you on the ground on your feet (not your head - as, again, they probably do in Russia!) Then you can run around and jump back in again.
My one and only crowd-surfing experience was I believe at the Helloween concert at BB King a few years ago. There was a lot of surfing going on when a huge guy standing in front of me turned around and pointing his index finger up gave me an offering look. Then put his hands together so that I can step on them and lifted me up above the crowd. That was really an awesome experience. I even have a picture of that somewhere.

that's awesome! :) I didn't realize BB King had the kind of shows where there is crowd-surfing.
