yay, she lives!! i've missed your updatage.
seriously... what. the. fuck. why must the stupid people take anthro classes!!?? your classmates sound like how mine were when i took anthro last year. grrrrrrrrr. they just ruin a perfectly good subject/class.
and... i hate how people don't understand the differences between sociology and social work. they're different, goddammit, they're different!! i feel your pain on anthro vs soc.

Yeah, seriously, people are dumb. I wish I could remember more dumb things that were said, but mostly it was white, upper-class girls who were barely 18 trying to act like they were worldly. "I don't think racism really exists anymore!!" "Poor people are poor because they're lazy!!" I'm surprised that I lasted a quarter without killing someone, I really am.

Yeah, I've been home for about two weeks. If you want, we could do something Monday. (Sledding, Movie @ Cedar Lee, thrifting, yarn shopping?) We're supposed to be visiting my Akron grandmother this weekend and I start "work" (volunteering) on Tuesday...

Yeah, I think the closest we got to funny was Danielle's twenty minute Q&A of how little clothing she can wear in Japan. Except that's more insanely obnoxiously dumb than funny ;)

Good God, how I loathed that girl! I was talking to Tina about the class, and she said "Oh, I know another girl who is taking it and says that it's really hard." Turns out that girl was none other than the dumb one. Well dummy, it wouldn't be hard if you read the materials and knew some basic information like what a pension is! A couple of brain cells probably would've helped. "I wish we could smoke in class." What kind of person says that aloud!?!?!!! And she had her cigarette in her ear...her demenor and appearance reminded me of Britney Spears that day, in the trashy sort of sense.

/end rant on stupid girl

Hee, I think that's why I never updated during this quarter.. it would have been a tri-weekly "Why is this girl and sometimes that other girl so incredibly stupid?!" rant, and that wouldn't have been any fun at all. Because they were just. that. dumb. Hopefully getting their grades over break will smarten some of them up. Hopefully.

I hope your break is going well, too. See you in January :)
