He desperately wants to hear her voice again, but he doesn't know how, or about what. Kate suddenly feels like a stranger, like an impostor. Because his Kate had died. He knows because he buried her, stood over her grave, mourned her loss for months.

I really like this passage because it's really the crux of what he's feeling and why. He buried her, he said goodbye, and now she's back. Such a mind fuck! I love the way Martha is there for him. I can't wait to see how he reacts to Jim, now he knows that Jim knew all along that she was alive and okay.

Yeah, Castle is really in a bad and confussing place right now and needs time to sort stuff out. And yes, his reaction to Jim will be anything but cheerfull.;)
