Home is the loft - a warm, safe haven to return to after long, heavy days at work, a lively refuge filled with caring people, gentle laughter and loving embraces shared in abundance, a welcoming sanctuary set alight by the mischievous twinkle of deep blue eyes and a familiar, knowing smile. Castle is home. << I loved this whole paragraph.
I like the talk between Alexis and Beckett, and how Alex makes her address the one thing that probably causes them all the biggest fear.. the 'what if'.
I love how Kate misses him so much when she's at work and how happy she is to see him when he turns up.
Thank you. :) Yeah, Castle is home, Castle is light for Kate, at least from my POV. And for Castle, Kate is the grounding power, the force that keeps him in check, that challenges him and puts him in line. I love that about those two.
This is a lovely ending to a wonderful fic, I'm happy that you included all three sections, which bring the story to such a good resolution, but I especially love Castle's return to the precinct just as she was most wishing for him to be there. And the last few lines made me smile like crazy! :)
Oh my god! This was perfect. Especially because it's not just some Happily Ever After, all troubles are forgotten and now we're drowning in fluff and sugar ending. This was realistic, because there are still some problems and not everything is sunshine and rainbows but things are looking up and this was such a nice and hopeful ending with just the right amount of fluff to make me feel all fuzzy inside. I loved that you ended this with Castle coming back and a new murder and basically showing that there is more to come for Castle and Beckett, because they're back doing what they do best. I just loved it.
And I'm really gonna miss this story. Thank you for taking us on this truly marvelous journey.
You are most welcome.:) I am glad the epilogue worked for you. I didnt want to make that sunshine-and-rainbows type of thing, cause yes, that would have been unrealistic. But getting them to the point of origin, going full circle, that was a great end for me. To get the to where they might have started if they werent met with those horrendous circumstances.
And I am glad it seemed to have worked for other people too.:)
Thank you! Dont fret that its over, there are always other stories to tell.:)
Also, I've already started to work on something new, though it will take some time before I start posting it, cause I want to make some work in advance first. But the intent is there, and so are already the first couple of pages. So cross fingers. ;)
Lol, no problem, I would have gotten the comment anyway, but still, thank you for reposting it here as well. :)
And wow, good 6th sense you got there@! :)
And yay, I love your thoughts on S5, cause I completely agree!:0) Especially THIS - The unabashed smiles we're getting this season are of a woman deeply in love.
Finishing it as they began, but as something more. Brava :) THANK YOU! You completely nailed it, what I wanted to accomplish with this story, what I wanted to tell. I am really glad it came across, the full circle thing.:)
