so i saw star wars today. it was amazing. it blew my mind, and everthing came together so nicely. my favorite parts were yoda, obi wan (aka ewan macgregor), and anakin skywalker (aka hayden christiansen), in whatever scene they were doing. i went with my cousins, and we cheered when yoda came on. we're such dorks. we were being really obnoxious. noo, i love yoda too! cassia was the one who said the yoda speak was a little too much. but we literally cheered in his first scene! and when he crawled up the wookie's arm and had a piggy-back ride. that was so funny. i loved it.

I have words for it: social commentary. Well, not really, I suppose, given that it was written like 30 years ago--unless politics have changed so little in that time... Still, it's a bit creepy the parallels that can be drawn between the Emperor and President W.
