Well, after 3 months of unemployment, I've had 3 job interviews in the space of 3 days. Funny how that works. The first one was for a box office position at the Venetian casino - crappy job - about 10 dollars an hour - 40 hours a week - not enough money. Job 2 is as a Stage Manager at Le Reve inside the Wynn casino. Cooler job - about 37,000 a ( Read more... )

Scary as it is I tend to agree with your dad. Take the job in Vegas, and if Sea World decides they want you, cut and run. Hell, lie to Le Reve, tell them you've had some sort of family emergency that is requiring you to move or something. Regardless though, if you want the Sea World job, and they offer, I say go for it.

If you decide to do that and it all works out remember I gave you this great bit of advice and happen to like Sea World ;) If it turns out to suck, I didn't say nothin :P

Still though, go for it! If Sea World doesn't work out for you then you'll at least have the other job already and won't hve to worry about it.

I would think that living in Vegas would be psychicly difficult...

I would probably to with the first job offer and take it from there. Sea World is a giant corporation that probably has byzantine hiring proceedures... it could take months. Then there's another thing: I'm a big believer in serendipity. There's a chance that the Le Reve (the dream?) job could lead to something else... another contact, a new opportunity.
