So, I haven't been around for a while. This lj has pretty much been Lizzie's. Someone recently made me realise that I'm very quiet. I basically have no online presence, and maybe it's because I think deep down that I don't have a huge amount of interesting stuff to say. It might just be that I've been busy. Oh, I don't know. Anyway, it means that ( Read more... )

I've spent the last 2 hours trying to word this correctly, to the point where I made a post about my awkwardness.

I would be very happy to come to your graduation. But am also happy to see you in the pub at a later date and go "yay! graduation!"

Having family on the next island is a luxury and I talk to them very often. I understand when there just is no substitute :)

Change = scary, but hopefully good :)

I am quite scared about what happens when I finish my PhD and have to find a job. I'm also looking forward to it, but, still, scary!

Julie, you are so lovely. I might see you on the day for a good celebratory hoo ha. You are a favourite person of mine. Just so you know. Awkwardness and all. x

Bless you for offering me whiskey. Just, bless you, it is one of the cheeriest things one can ever see when one is down in the dumps - 'I owe you whiskey.' It is a reason to live. Of course you don't owe me whiskey, but it would be nice to have some one day. Maybe Thursday evening I'll let everyone know where we've ended up for a drink.

I'll be in town, so wherever you end up let me know.
Even if it doesn't happen then, we have a whiskey cellar
