стоматологический  (if you don't read Cyrillic,  "stomatologicheskii").  It means "dental".  Now, I know  most of you don't know Russian, but if you happen to know Greek...  can you figure out where it comes from??  I thought this was really cool.

I get really tangled up in Russian, English, and Spanish, too. Speaking of, I got myself two Spanish textbooks (1st and 2nd years) so that I can reteach myself the grammar and stuff. It's been 8 years since I've used Spanish!

Uh yeah. Obviously. And this is why I shouldn't post while I'm tired! I had them written down right (on the piece of paper I was writing notes for LJ on), and then I started typing in Russian, and apparently it all went downhill from there.

Cool, re Spanish! We should practice. It was 8 years since I had used Spanish, too, and now I use it at work a lot.

"stomalogicheskii" comes from "stoma" which means "mouth" in Greek, doesn't it?

I think so. :) I used to mix up Russian and Greek handwriting (though to be fair, it was the *same letter*, you just wrote it differently in Russian and Greek, in handwriting. Apparently my Greek teacher found it confusing though.

I'm impressed that youre learning so many foreign languages and alphabets. Youre learning Hebrew? WOW! :). Warning: Gavriel (Mark) Sanders, a pastor and missionary, ended up converting to Judaism after learning to read Hebrew and reading the *original* Bible, the Torah, and grew shocked how different it is from the Old Testament :). Just sayin'... ;-)

Hey. :) I love learning foreign languages, and this new job I have is kind of encouraging me! I definitely have learned a lot about Hebrew and Judaism from reading various stuff online--it's interesting though, because I think the vowels they are teaching us are totally different from the vowels in all the words I know. I think I am not likely to convert to Judaism, but there is definitely a lot I find interesting and attractive about it.

Um, they are kinda cream colored with red stripes. I think I left them by the couch in the living room. If not, they would be in the garage. I certainly hope you have them, because I don't, and I like htem!
