The summer is almost over, and I haven't done half the things I wanted to do in it.  My family and I are going to Mt. Rainier at the end of September though,  I think, and that is exciting. I am hoping to go camping, probably the first weekend of September, since I am going to a conference for work next weekend, and Labor Day will be so crowded

I want a garden!

I always slack with the Dormition fast becase my birthday is in the middle-ish of it, and there are parties and people want to buy me lunch and stuff.

This is the first time I have been able to have one (since my parents had one when I was a kid anyway). It's tiny, but next year, I hope to have a bigger one. There is this grassy lawn area out behind the apartments (townhouses) and you're allowed to make gardens, as long as they look okay.

Same here with Dormition fast. I've always thought that could be a reason to be Old Calendar. :) Though, your birthday is on Transfiguration on the new calendar, which is kind of cool. Mine is on a totally boring day anyway.
