Hey there! I should post more, shouldn't I? I always should though. Yeah, Lent. Sigh. I am NOT READY for it to be over, if that makes sense.

You so should!! It will be awesome. :)

Lent food restrictions: basic rules involve no meat or dairy for the period of Lent (and Holy Week, which is technically different, liturgically, but is really all part of the same thing-it ends up being almost 50 days all together). Also no fish, except on Annunciation and Palm Sunday. Wine and olive oil are allowed on weekends, otherwise not, though the rule about oil is not followed strictly ( ... )

What church are you going to now? I assumed you were still at St. Spyridon.

I am going to St. Nicholas (the one in Seattle). I've been going there full time since the beginning of January, and before that I was kind of transitioning.

(Please post a falafel recipe!)

I felt the same way about Lent - it went zooming by for me too.
I didn't know you switched parishes, cool beans.
And, I have an odd conversation that happened, that I kind of need to bounce off someone, I think I may send you a PM on Facebook.

Not crazy at all.
And, hopefully after that long rambling message, you don't think it of me.
No worries, I'll look forward to your response when it is time.

Thanks for the address. I will mail you something tomorrow--unfortunately they didn't have English though!

I think I will respond to your pm also tomorrow, I actually was wanting to find out the answer to your question from a ROCOR point of view, which I was planning to do tonight. Heh.
