Yolanda! Wow, it has been ages! I don't really cook very much at all, but I have had the Vegetarian Times cookbook (it's a magazine, too)for a long time that I've used successfully on occasion.

Soy hot dog? I can think of a lot of things soybeans are good for (having grown up in Indiana), but hot dogs are not one of those things.

Then again, hotdogs are made up of all sorts of mysterious things. Why NOT soy?

I'd go vegan too, if meat weren't so darned yummy.

Both of you should go to your local supermarkets and buy some tofu dogs or soy dogs, or whatever they call them. You probably can't even tell the difference. I was just really shocked to see it sold by a street vendor.

Cindy, didn't you quite enjoy the ribs or something at that vegan place in TX?

Nope, my dear, that was YOU eating tofu ribs. I was happily eating the cheese enchiladas. Not vegan, but no meat. I *tasted* your tofu ribs, and declared them interesting but not remotely riblike.

Actually, I'm afraid that if I actually ate tofu ribs with any expectation that they be anything remotely like barbeque, I might have to turn in my Native Born Texan license.

I stopped watching it a while ago. I only catch glimpses of episodes. I like what's his name who used to play Spike on Buffy and Angel. He's so nasty. I have know idea what he's doing in Smallville, but I think the actor is interesting. What is up with Lionel? Does he want Martha? Has he turned good? I wish they'd fire Lana out of a cannon already. She's already comletely out of canon. haha so punny am I.

The idea of a street vendor selling soy dogs cracks me up, but at the same time, it's so cool. It's great to see you - can't wait until this summer to do so in person! ^_^

Yes, it's been far too long. For all I know, you could've dyed your hair brown and become a Hermione clone. Or maybe Luna. ^_~
