I just lost most of an entry. Dammit. Today is one of those annoying days where it's slow, but it's not really. I have a meeting and a training session that I can't get out of. It's in a department I don't like and I didn't even sign up for. (Ew. I just ended two sentences in a row with a preposition. I disgust myself.) The training is for a ( Read more... )

Vegas? You're by Vegas?! Why did I not know this?? That's.. that is so cool!

We don't have one in Massachusetts, but I think we're getting one soon, actually. We had to drive to New Haven, CT, about two and a half to three hours away. SO WORTH IT, though.

We get IKEA in Atlanta this summer! I'm so excited. I had to mail order my daughter's bed from there last year.

I've heard that the shipping for IKEA is absolutely insane. :(

Yay for new IKEA location. I love that store. It used to be really close to me, when I lived in Virginia. Sigh. The good old days.

Wow. I still go to VA a lot because of my mom. She lives in Alexandria, off King Street, right down the street from Bailey's Crossroads. What a small world. How did I not know that? We should hang sometime when I visit.

*sigh* No love for the kel...

And I think it's more a new Ancillary model, not just them trying to replace me with people in Premium... the UK group has the operators do all their own post-call work, and I think (in theory) they want to make everyone work the same way... and they're certainly not going to be hiring more people to make them work the way we do...

You know I love you. ;)

Yea, I know. I'm glad they're reorganizing it and launching these initiatives, but what I didn't appreciate was just having it thrown at me, and I had to reschedule a bunch of things around a department that I don't even work for. That's what bugged me about it. Oh well, I'm training with AnneMarie, so it should be fun.

These new business models are going to be great in the long run, but the way we were working before.. yikes. The transition is going to be rather interesting.

I'd feel better about the new initiatives if I had more faith in the ability of certain people to ... oh... answer the phones correctly, and such.

Gah. Rain. Stupid rain.
