I've stolen things. shoplifted things. little things, only, and rarely, but for selfish reasons. I don't want this to sound like a point of pride, it's just a fact and a preface to this entry ( Read more... )

I used to steal things as well. Really simple things, hair clips and jewelry. I never really enjoyed doing it, but I kept doing it for a few years. The most expensive thing I ever stole was a $30 necklace, so not too much, but that necklace was awesome and I was poor.

Walmart actually assumes that theft will run rampant and figures this into the physical cost of items. Everything is raised by a % of what it would be if no one stole, so technically you've probably paid enough into this make up fund to have covered the cost of the case.

I loved the post. I thought on this topic last week, too, as I am so damned broke right now and there are "wants" versus "needs" that have crept into my mind while out. I refrain for the good of the world (or corporations?). Though big business doesn't need the extra bucks, it makes my moral dilemma far less extreme for the chaste deeds.

On another note... ::HUGE tackle hugs:: Be safe over there. Is there a date when you'll be back so I know when I can call and chat up my buddy? I miss you a ton as it is, knowing that you are 3000 miles away in Tally. Being more like 6k to 7k miles away is even worse. Bring back a sheep this time? A big, wooly one? I promise the airlines won't mind.

i've stolen so much makeup from walmart.. mostly when i was in highschool.

makeup is ridiculously expensive and i can't justify buying it. although now i don't even wear it... i stopped lifting when i turned 18 and realized i could get into more trouble for it.
