Leaving in less than 30 minutes. Am quite disgustingly organized and may actually have managed to not forget anything at all.

Back home on the 30th.

going to america

I will be stopping by, actually. :) Unless we find anything incredibly interesting between here (DC) and Toronto (And no, Niagara Falls isn't interesting LOL) we'll be in Toronto on the 9th and then stay for four days or something.

Which reminds me... I've been meaning to ask, but I can never remember for as long as it takes to boot a computer... Do you know any decent but not too expensive hotel type places in Toronto?

Hmm... decent but not too expensive? I do... but the problem is that the film fest is here so all the good deals are snatched up. Most of the places I'd recommend are close to downtown so all the dumb film fest people will have grabbed them.

Like there are some higher end hostel-like places (that I've never been to) for $60 a night. Like the Grange Hotel. (And all the sketchy motels in Scarborough will be cheap too.) But as for good hotels... Hmm......

Well, there's the HoJo on Avenue Rd... Pretty decent price and it's a chain so it's like... not bad. There's also one on Jarvis I think as well. That one I've stayed at and it was pretty damn cool. I can't really think of any other cheap ones with the film fest in town.

I did some searches on hostelworld and some of the other search engines and found some good places, but only one of them had a room available for the four days we had planned on staying. It had gotten some pretty crappy reviews, though, so we ended up booking a room at the Radisson (the Toronto East one), which was only $10 more a night. :)
