I just received a letter from dear Father. It seems that William has been hanging around someone else in my absence. Do you have arrandged marriages where you come from as well? I thought only my society was still stuck there.

And I thought *I* was the only one who still had to worry about arranged marriages.

You know, this time difference really confuses me. Someone said that it was 2000, but how can it be when I was born in the 17th century?

I'm not even from this world. And I think it's closer to being 2005. I'm not planning on getting married, ever. My parents are dead, my guardians think I'm a boy, my, um, lover happens to be the crown prince. Some how, I don't think marriage is in my future.

Intriguing. That, also, puzzles me. How can someone not be from this world?

I always dreamed of getting married to William, but he's a blacksmith, and I'm the governor's daughter. Not my father's idea of a well-to-do match.

Now, I suppose, I will have to turn my sights elsewhere.
