Well I ran for Undergraduate Student Government President...yeah again. This year it was so aweseome, though. Our platform was wonderful, the campus newspaper endorsed us (how could they not, dude?), our campaign team was full of loyal believers, and everyone was so committed and optimistic (this story can only end badly, right ( Read more... )

*HUGS* I'm sorry, I wanted you to win too. I saw the website and read the 30-page statement of platform and all I kept thinking was, If we had people this dedicated at Michigan, we'd have real change being enacted and not stupid goals like, let's get free blue books on the Diag.

Thanks Mona:-) That means a lot. Yeah, I do believe that the 1500 votes we got were votes of concerned people who were rallied by what we had to say and believed in it, where the 2400 votes that they got were just votes of "oh, ok, I know these people, I'll vote." So, in that respect, we won a lot.

Oh, and you should know my running mate and campaign manager are both such die hard west wing fans it's almost upsetting :-) I'll share the quotation with them! Ane maybe even break down and buy a season or something...

*HUG* You know you ran each year at NDA...and just think you made it to be pres senior year...and you busted ass! I know you'll find lots of Government-esk things to do next school year...so congrats on doing your best!
