Im going to start learning French.

What languages can you all speak?

Did you HAVE to learn them in school?

Or where you raised with them?

Or did you just decided to learn, like im doing ^_^

english i was raised with, spanish i was required to learn and continued on my own in highschool. french i learned on my own free will

How did you learn it? i just purchased the Dummies Guide to French to start off with, it comes with a CD ^_^

haha i just realized i wrote "smart now" as apposed to previously, where you were just some punk kid with street smarts :P

english --> had and still have to learn it in school
russian --> same^

WOW! you had to learn two languages?

We had to learn Italian from grade 6-8 but we were never taught very much.

Is russian really hard? Can you speak it better then you can write? Cos i'd imagine learning all those hieroglyphs would be very hard!

How come everyone can speak spanish?

I speak English, I took French at school for 3 years (I HAD to do it), but I dropped it after when I was finally allowed. I also know a little bit of Spanish, but not the best. ;x So... mostly English xP

Yeah i HAD to learn Italian and dropped that as soon as i could. Its no fun when you're forced to do something :(

I speak English but i did German and French at school for 2 years and then i had to choose to do either German or French the next year, i decided to go with German, lol and then the year after i got to drop it coz i hated it. Ive forgotten most of the stuff, i blame the teacher tho, she never used to teach us properly anyways! :P
