The bell on the door rings increasingly often as the drizzle transform into a mini thunderstorm. The once empty cafe starts filling up as more and more people file into the quaint cafe in an attempt to escape from the rain.
There is minimal space between the tables, and in her haste to deliver the orders, the waitress bumps into a young looking man.
"I'm sorry," she apologizes quickly, a distinct blush dusting her cheeks when the man turns around and brushes her mistake off with a smile. Within a second, he turns back to stare at his companion, not noticing the daze the waitress is in after the small altercation.
"Stop staring at me," the slightly tanner man mumbles, hiding his expressive eyes beneath his long bangs as he stirs his drink.
His ice blended mint choco frappucino has long melted, leaving a layer of oil on the drink as the whipped cream refuses to blend into the liquid. But it doesn't reduce his satisfaction as he sighs happily at the taste of mint in his mouth.
"But I want to," the other male states, the amount of affection laced in his voice sending the tanned male's heart skipping.
"Park Chanyeol, you're so embarrassing," he says, smiling at his companion fondly.
"It isn't my fault when you're the one who turned me into your number 1 fan, Jonginnie," Chanyeol plucks the straw out of Jongin's fingers, lacing their hands together on the table.
"Right," Jongin laughs, his trademark laughter attracting the attention of the remaining patrons.
He pulls his hand out of Chanyeol's grasp, and a noticeable frown fleets across Chanyeol's face before his smile is back, albeit forced.
Jongin has never been good with showing affection, and he prefers hiding in the shadows when he notices other people's attention on him, but it doesn't mean that he didn't want to try for Chanyeol.
He turns Chanyeol's hand over, and re-laces their fingers together, this time, with Chanyeol's hand at the bottom, "this is more comfortable."
Jongin has always found Chanyeol attractive, his large and slightly childish features complementing each other perfectly giving him an elven prince look. However, nothing can compare to Chanyeol's smile when he is genuinely happy. When he smiles, his dark orbs sparkle, like someone has stolen all the stars from the skies and deposited it into his eyes. Jongin thinks -
"So, why are you staring at me?" Chanyeol teases, watching an obvious flush work it's way up his lover's face.
"Because you're pretty," Jongin replies in an uncharacteristic manner, caressing Chanyeol's hand purposefully.
Chanyeol laughs at his reply, his face crumpling up in an unattractive manner, but Jongin is too in love to realize that a twitching left eye isn't something to fawn over.
"You'll need to pay me for that," Chanyeol leans forward, resting his other hand on the table, "let's see. When do you plan to stop staring?"
"How about never?"
A myriad of emotions flash through Chanyeol's eyes momentarily before he finally breaks into a smile, and in those eyes, Jongin sees the brightest light he has ever seen in his life.
"Then, I think, you'll have to give me someone called Jongin as payment."
"Okay."
Yes, Jongin thinks he can stare at Chanyeol forever.
