LiveJournal will be unavailable for up to three hours starting at the following times, Wednesday, October 5. During this time, LJ might be unreachable, slow, or experience issues loading. This will affect all services, including LJ Talk & Scrapbook.

03:30 PM PST
04:30 PM MST
06:30 PM EST

Thanks for the heads-up, and good luck with the upgrade.

And as for the US people complaining that not all of their time zones are represented... give it a break. You won't see people from everywhere else requesting their own country's timezone to be included, as we are quite used to everything on the internet catering to those in the US. Even the inclusion of GMT isn't something all internet services are capable of.

GMT, or UTC unless you're in a timewarp back to the 1970s. International standard, add your own timezone, and never mind about all these silly ambiguous local nicknames. I don't think anyone actually lives in UTC+0 at the moment (Iceland?), but surely we can all add 1, subtract 6, or whatever?
