Making a "cut"

Can someone tell me how to do the equivalent of an LJ cut on wordpress? Thanks!

On the screen where you make the post, there should be a button that says "more". That will get you a cut.

And there are plugins that can replicated Cut behaviour (including more than one per post), and there are some tricks that allow them to work on old imported posts. But I'm on my work laptop without access to all my files, shouldn't be too hard to find, pretty sure they've been mentioned in the archives or on the wiki.
