Update to Development Priorities

Aug 07, 2008 16:00

This is a known issue that will be fixed with the Rich Text Editor upgrade.

I'm sorry, but I don't know the status of that; problems involving payment issues are handled privately by staff rather than by volunteers.

Edit: I just verified that this issue has been reported to developers, but I don't know anything else about its status.

I wasn't aware that basic communities (all communities aren't basic? other than sponsored ones?) would be affected. If that was mentioned before I missed it. I'm even more concerned and hope this works out all right.

I'm interested in how Creative Commons might be involved, and I'm sure quite a few people will be happy with various increased limits.

Wow, I was tired when I first read this. How did I miss the bit about searching your own journal? I've been dying for that! Thank you. :)

All communities created now are Plus comms; Basic is no longer available for new users. A few communities are Paid, to allow them fully customized layouts.

How about making rich text available for Opera users.

I'm pretty sure that the upgrade to the Rich Text Editor will make it compatible with Opera as well. :-)

Thanks for all the updates! I do have 1 question though......in regards to this:

Community platforms - since Release #31, OpenID users with verified email addresses can comment in journals where once only “registered users” could comment.

Does this now mean that anyone can comment on my journal (if they use OpenID), even though I have it set to no anonymous posting, and only registered users that are listed as friends? If so, will there be a way to disallow OpenID users to post?

It won't override the settings you've got - you'd need to list the Open ID user as a friend in order for them to be able to comment with your commenting set like you describe.

I really like the idea of being able to search for something in my own LJ. (Of course, assuming that friends-only & private posts are included in the searching.)
