Agendas are "This is what we're discussing," like an outline for your minutes. Minutes are in essay form, aka complete sentences and no bullet points, with details on exactly what was said, and if possible by who. But more importantly what, EXACTLY, was discussed. "Need more engagement with Board members," okay that's great.. but WHAT about that did you discuss? Strategies? Kicking some members off to get new ones who will engage? Changing policies so this can happen? REQUIRING it of members? Details. That's what minutes add. If whoever is in charge of doing minutes is completely clueless on this idea (and this seems the case) i do believe i have copies of minutes i kept from a similar type of board meeting i'd be happy to share and give tips on how exactly to do this.
and JOOC... has our user rep attended *any* meetings? i'm not asking this to be difficult, i actually don't know and would like to know.
oh and also.. this 'face to face', will this still be occurring in Turkey, as was announced when the Board was announced?
If so... in the current economic climate, wouldn't it be prudent to consider a different venue; one that is closer and easier to get to for the majority of your board who IIRC are in the US?
