Especially since I submitted this post a couple hours after the article was posted on CNN.com (it has just been approved now)

I think "old meme" should be my new universal reply.

I find the apparent inaccuracy of the LiveJournal deal amusing. SixApart did not orchestrate a "takeover" as far as we know. They made an offer and Brad agreed to accept it. Now, unless they held a Nintendo Zapper to his head and threatened him to comply, I don't see how there was a "takeover."

I think that when you purchase another business you take it over. Your semiotic addition of the word "orchestrate" that was not part of the article is a product of the demons from with-in your own mind.

May the Lord bless You and keep You.

Six Apart now has 7 million users, including a substantial number who pay fees that range from $4.95 per month for TypePad's bare-bones package to thousands of dollars for licensing Movable Type to install on their own servers.
I guess they're forgetting Livejournal's $5/2mo paid membership fee. :-P

I just wanted to come on here to let you know how much I appreciate LJ. Tom (or whoever is the lord of myspace) recently sold myspace to murdoch (person who owns fox news. fair and balanced my ass!). fox news censors their shit like you don't know what and this morning it made me really upset because i opened an bulletin that read as follows:
As you might know we have used MYSPACE to run a bulletin board titled , No Verichip Inside , to promote communication between members and highlight the latest news pertaining to human micro-chipping and biometrics. In keeping with the current fair and balanced censorship we are seeing on Fox News , the Murdoch owned MySpace , deleted our account [No Verichip Inside Group] today giving us no details as to the motivating reason. We can hazard a guess it was the content pertaining to free will and protection of civil liberties and the fact the group was experiencing excellent growth. In reflection , perhaps if our MySpace group was littered with pornographic images and booty shots accompanied with a ( ... )
