Thank you for the explanation. I really want to emphasize that I have no problems with data-tracking, because I understand how important it is to have the information to fix up navigation and usability, and I'm not the type of person to believe there's anonymity on the Internet anyway ( ... )

in something like a news post outlining the plan, there would have been a lot of angry comments, and a lot of grumbling. but in the end cooler heads would have talked the rational people down. right now the grumbling is lower but some of the cooler heads don't feel like helping put out this fire.
i mean. really.
most people who are upset by this use gmail.
