More seriously, though, thanks for holding a meeting. I'm still reserving judgment (and the possiblility of a return of my automatic payments and gifts for family and friends using LJ) until these announcements are made.

Absolutely! I don't want anyone to take my word (or anyone else's word) on anything till you see what we decided and make a decision for yourself. :)

Wait a minute, WHAT decision?

You - meaning LJ and Six Apart - aren't going to give us a decision, are you? Are you even listening to your own user base? Do over four thousand negative comments in response to the last two posts on lj_biz mean anything to you people?

You were underhanded in the way you went about making this announcement. You hid the announcement of sponsored communities on lj_biz, rather than putting it on the front page and in news. Hell, you can't even SUBSCRIBE to news anymore. I also knote that lj_ads is closed to new members, so you can't even join that community to watch it.

What gives? How stupid do you think we are?

Well, you'll excuse me if I'm still worried. I'm sure you thought that we were going to be happy with the sponsored communities in the first place.... Sorry, but you guys lost a lot of faith in your judgement. Its going to take a while to earn it back.

I'm still worried, but it's good to hear that LJ is listening to it's user base still (so it seems) and not to the $$$ the corperations have.
