LJ-Sec, a program used for changing the security of multiple journal entries easily, has been updated to
version 0.2. . This Microsoft Windows project uses the .Net 1.1 framework, available from Microsoft.
Fixes in this version:
(*) Tags and other properties were not being read properly in version 0.1. Therefore they could be lost when you changed securities. This has been fixed. Please uninstall and reinstall completely if using version 0.1.
(*) A bulk find and replace option has been added. This allows you to directly replace all instances of a phrase in your journal with another phrase.
Also:
A cross-platform fork (Mono-friendly) was created. It's an alpha release, so for now no compiles and distributions are available for other platforms.
The source code can be found
here. The preview function is not available in this version; all other features were carried over.
This fork has been compiled successfully using gmcs under version 1.1.13 of Mono, under the SharpDevelop 2.0 IDE in Windows. The mcs compiler created an EXE that didn't run at all, so I recommend using gmcs to compile. The sample EXE (Windows x86) is available in the
downloads section. In theory, this code set should work pretty nicely in other supported operating systems (Mac OS X and Linux, for instance). It could be way different in practice. I haven't been able to test cross-platform support, though a
Mono Live CD test is planned.
If it works great on another platform, and you've created a nice deployment package, please let me know. :) If it doesn't work, also please let me know. :)
