TXTLJ Notifications

Back in December of 2006, we introduced TXTLJ, a feature which lets you interact with LiveJournal from your mobile phone. We'd like to know your thoughts on using this feature for notifications. If you haven't tried it before, here's how it works:

The things I track are usually busy posts in communities and I'd have to start paying quickly.

I have to pay for text messages received on my phone to the phone company, so this isn't a useful feature.

And what happens after your "free" notifications are used up? Do you just not get any more notifications? Does LJ charge you? I assume the former - and notifications that I have to count to know when they're going to stop being meaningful are not useful.

I'd possibly use it, but I don't want to pay my carrier the extra price for using text messages.
