TXTLJ Notifications

Back in December of 2006, we introduced TXTLJ, a feature which lets you interact with LiveJournal from your mobile phone. We'd like to know your thoughts on using this feature for notifications. If you haven't tried it before, here's how it works:

I don't have a cell phone or plan on getting one and if I was forced to get one, I still wouldn't use this feature.

I've been using it forever, but only for major posts, like news posts, where I want to be able to get in the first page or two of comments.

I've tried a couple of times but apparently PAYG is not supported.

I use it for posting all the time and really enjoy that feature. For notifications, though, I'm not so sure. I tried it once with a post I wanted to keep an eye on, and it was veeeeery frustrating to get the notifications but then not be able to do anything about them (since I was not at a computer at the time). I quickly decided against that.

I'd probably use it for birthday notifications, if we could set the time range options ourslves (ie, I'd like to get an email birthday notification 3 days ahead as currently, but then maybe a text on the day of to remind me to call).
