Help us steer site navigation!

As you probably noticed, we recently redesigned the LiveJournal global navigation menu to improve site useability, based on input we received from both new and experienced users. Our goal is to make LiveJournal features and products as intuitive and easy-to-use as possible. At this juncture, we'd like to get your detailed suggestions on what you ( Read more... )

YOur improvements are one of the things that make people look seriousy at dreamwidth and insane journal. If we can't access things, like say the scrapbook you just rendered useless, then why should we continue to stay here?
I can't access, and neither can others I'm seeing, our scrapbook content in order to post and share.
Fix it. You broke it, make it right.
Also, the stupidity of screening all comments to a comm on someones post? Good way to kill commenting and comms. Way to go.
Please, keep IMPROVING things.

1) Why was the help section removed from the links list? That's just silly! That means there's not even a single link to the help/FAQ section!

2) Why is Scrapbook crammed under "My Stuff"? It should have it's own section with links to it's various areas (upload, manage, and front page).

3) Userpics and Memories belong under Journal.

I love LJ and believe in supporting the site.

However, I do have one issue..I prefer the way it was.

I'm a firm believer in if it's not broke don't fix it.

My Stuff should be My Profile again
The scrapbook was easier to find when it wasn't buried.

And

The vgifts were so much easier when they were removed after 2 weeks

I want a clearer link to my own profile...I just had to look for quite a while to find one, and I gave up on the menus and used the little person icon instead.

The 'My Stuff' menu itself (in either Vertigo or Horizon) is a link, and it goes to the Profile page.

I'm not saying that it's clear or couldn't perhaps be improved, only pointing out that it's there so that you can use it if you wish to.

I couldn't find it either. I had to go to my main journal and click 'user info' from there. Maybe I'm just too tired, didn't realize "my stuff" meant "my profile".

"My Stuff" sounds a bit dumb. Rather juvenile and attempting-and-failing-to-be-cute, like a person wearing clothes that are much too young for them. As another person mentioned, it really doesn't fit with any of the other headings, either, which are neutral and straight-forward. It is also vague and unhelpful.

I don't really use the Scrapbook myself, but I agree with others users that, given how many functions there are for it, it does seem odd and non-user-friendly that it doesn't have its own header. (For example, I like having all of the Friends functions now easily accessible. The Scrapbook seems like it worked better when it also was accessible like that.)
