Is there a specific problem with Scrapbook? LJ has been working fine for me the last few days, but Scrapbook has been slow as molasses, prohibitively non-functional at times.

(It's working fine right now, though.)

Seconding this question. Scrapbook wouldn't work worth a damn yesterday, and it was very frustrating to keep trying to do *anything* with it. This is why I think just knowing if/when it's fixed would be grand.

Still not working for me & it's been days since I've been able to upload images. And now I can't even gain access to my scrapbook.

Thirding this. It was very spotty earlier today, too, and I'm wondering if that is part of the whole issue the site is having.

Quick question. Is the problem caused by approved posts and all the comments taking place or....well ok yeah that is probably it. I guess this gives us good enough reason to be more picky about posts we approve. Would this help?

Having fewer posts wont make things faster. Having fewer visitors will, but this is not the direction we're going. We are still working to get our systems configured for our expected growth. It's getting better. :)

this is all fine and dandy...but I've been over a month without email notifications, and as of a few days ago, my inbox here on lj is delayed by hours.

Same here. Both my inbox and my e-mail notifcations are higly delayed. Only on communities though, I get journal replies instantly.

I have the same thing happening with my LJ. Will these updates help with that? Thanks for all you do.

Yeah, it works fine now!

How about adding Expires header to images and userpics? My browser had to check every image on this page if it was modified or not once I hit refresh:

GET /img/anonymous.gif HTTP/1.1

Host: l-stat.livejournal.com

If-Modified-Since: Mon, 15 Dec 2008 21:35:37 GMT

Cache-Control: max-age=0

HTTP/1.1 304 Not Modified

Content-Type: image/gif

Age: 215117

Date: Sun, 18 Apr 2010 08:27:42 GMT

Connection: keep-alive

Imagine how much bandwidth can be saved with, say, one day ahead Expires: header. Not mentioning that it takes about 400 ms to check just one images because of round-trip times alone.

Is there also a chance that Status updates that're serious could also go to the Twitter? I lost a lot of time and a fair few comments the other days trying to get stuff done, Status said all was fine and the Twitter was just another QOTD.

I think this could be very useful as well; I could then just retweet without having to overthink my words.
