This is probably too early to ask but I'm wondering how many of you are planning on participating for Camp NaNoWriMo? It will run for the months of June and August. I'm pretty sure I want to participate for both months... A little insane but the challenge is fun. Anyone else ( Read more... )

I'm contemplating June, as it is 30 days just like November, so it would be good practice. I tend to write all year long but I can't seem to win NaNo recently. So June would be good for me.

Guys, I'm sorry to ask, but is it the same as the November NaNo? I'm only planning to join in the Russian part, never tried before. If you think my question out of place, feel free to delete)

It's basically the same, just in a different month. I don't know if it will be as organized as NaNo is. Last year, it really had no organization to speak of. We'll see what they do this year.

It's not quite as organized and everything is done through the website. There are no MLs and no local write-ins. You have a "cabin" with fellow "campers" to help keep you on track and encourage you.

I did both months, picking up two older works to continue. Won in July (beta month) and didn't in August (when the cabins were established).

If I do it this year, it'll be July. August is my 25th wedding anniversary and I plan to be out of town for a few days -- which will play merry hob with my word count.

Did and won both July and August last year, and though challenging was lots of fun. Was planning to participate in both this summer as well.

I didn't particiapte at Camp Nano last year, but I'll try this year. I'm still unsure what to write. Either a mini-sequel, or just a different story altogether. There's still time to figure that out. Of course I'd rather swing with the sequel since I still like my characters from last year very much.
