While LiveJournal was lacking a way of doing timed backups of entries on the update page, I wrote a GreaseMonkey script to do timed backups, manual backups, and load from those backups ( Read more... )

I had the understanding Greasemonkey was only for Firefox... When you say Mozilla as well, I'm curious. Could that be any Gecko-based browser?

That's what I'm inclined to think for most "Firefox-specific" extensions. One time it worked, but only after much failure. I don't know if I could ever reproduce it, or do it with another extension or browser. And even in the same script, I've noticed differences in how Mozilla and Firefox handle scripts (I've found Firefox to be much more strict).
