LJ Thread Unfolder w/ Unfold All, for all layouts (greasemonkey)

Nov 23, 2007 23:53

This script adds unfold functionality to LJ, it will unfold comments that have been hidden without having to reload the page or browse to a different page.

Originally by Tim Babych and extended by Henrik N, I've updated this Greasemonkey script to work with most/all LJ layouts ( Read more... )

Very cool.

One issue - it looks like there's supposed to be an 'unfold the whole thread' link but it isn't working, at least on the journal I'm reading currently. It unfolds the first comment and nothing else.

But considering yesterday I couldn't unfold anything on that layout, I'm not complaining, just reporting :)

The 'unfold all'-link is at the bottom of the page.

Ah, hm. I didn't see that, but ok, that seems to work.

And that being the case, there is an 'unfold' link that I don't understand why it's there - in not-folded comments.

Greasemonkey scrips are said to work in Opera too, but I haven't managed to get it to work yet...

I just updated the script and was able to make it work for opera, though you have to install another userjs script that can be found here.

If you have any problem, let me know!

One thing: any thread link on LJ is getting the "unfold" option, not just the ones in a comment. See stupid_free for example, where they often link to individual threads.

Ah yea, I do see that as an issue, I didn't even think about people linking directly to a thread. I'm working on a fix for that.

hi, I was having this issue too, so I un-installed the script and then reinstalled but it is still showing the "unfold" link next to the thread link.
