Yeah, editing userpics from the app is nice but I would be perfectly willing to forego that if I could see my notifications on there.

Talk to us about how you moved your servers to Moscow.

Yes, we all noticed, even though you didn't say anything.

Yeah, this.

I don't particular mind the fact the site moved, but I think LJ's communication has some room for improvement left. Don't just do it, guys; tell us about the what, the why, and the how. More communication is never a bad thing.

Yes, this. There are a lot of users who are worried about losing data, compromised data, etc. due to this unnecessarily sneaky move.  Please be open with us and inform us of what this means for site operations, security, etc.  We can't trust you with our info if you don't

The move was mandatory, and the sneakiness may have been under pressure. Russia's government requires that information on its people be on servers in the country, and it demands a back door. Here's the story (with necessary URL obfuscation - change the bullet to a period), since LJ isn't inclined to answer:

Thanks for doing this! I hope you will update the android version soon. LJ is very important to me and apps are the way to save it.

So, about that Android bug which has been around for years and changes every instance of the word "figure" to "div"...?

Omg THIS

And it should be such a simple fix too, someone just needs to edit the script so that it only changes the word "figure" to "div" when it's an actual figure TAG, not just the word.
